To get the most out of dRhumba, you will need a good WAV editing tool
for recording and editing sound samples. One solution is GoldWave -
it's not as flashy as programs like CoolEdit or SoundForge, but it
works well and is easy to use. Supports the Ogg Vorbis file format.
Wav files are too damn big, it's a fact. A good audio compression
utility/standard is a must, and Ogg Vorbis is an excellent one. And
best of all, it's completely patent and royalty free, unlike some other
popular formats. Vorbis files can be used by dRhumba, so go to the Ogg
Vorbis web site to learn more.
Winamp is a great application for quickly listening to sound samples of
many types, including WAV and Ogg Vorbis.
If you are an application programmer, you need an installation system to distribute
your software. NSIS is the best (and free!) software installation system.
